Prior to founding his own surgery centre, Dr Aslani was Head of the Plastic Surgery Departments at Hospital Quirón Málaga and Quirón Marbella from 2008 to 2018. During that period, he established both departments as an International Reference Centre for Advanced Body Contouring Surgery. He has also held various positions as an academic consultant at University Hospitals in South Africa, Germany, Austria and London and Manchester in the UK.

Dr. Aslani is currently a member of numerous cosmetic surgery organizations, including ASPS (American Society of Plastic Surgeons), ISAPS (International Society of Plastic Surgeons), AECEP (Spanish Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons), and DGPRAEC (German Society of Plastic Surgeons).

Dr. Arani has been fascinated by plastic and reconstructive surgery since his youth. He recognized early on how profoundly the art of reconstruction can change a person’s life—not only in functional terms but also in terms of well-being and self-confidence. This passion led him to study at the Medical University of Vienna, where he successfully completed his studies. However, Dr. Arani’s pursuit of knowledge and experience took him far beyond the borders of Austria: he gained valuable experience in Switzerland, Japan, and spent a year in Barcelona as part of an Erasmus scholarship.

Already during his studies, Dr. Arani dedicated himself intensively to plastic surgery, a discipline he views as more than just a medical procedure. For him, it is an art form, where every detail matters in restoring not just a patient’s outward appearance but also their inner strength. Dr. Arani chose to write his doctoral thesis on the topic “Breast Reconstruction with Implants – The Impact of Postoperative Radiotherapy on Aesthetic Outcomes.” This work not only demonstrated his deep scientific curiosity but also his passion for the connection between functional restoration and aesthetic perfection.

Dr. Arani's surgical career began in thoracic surgery at the University Hospital of Mainz, Germany, where he completed part of his basic surgical training. His passion for plastic surgery led him further: he spent nearly four years at the Evangelisches Krankenhaus Oldenburg, a medical campus of the University of Oldenburg in Germany. There, he deepened his knowledge and skills in plastic, aesthetic, and reconstructive surgery, as well as hand surgery. Dr. Arani discovered the diversity of the art of plastic surgery, which ranges from body contouring through liposuction and lift procedures to the field of breast surgery. Additionally, he completed a rotation in burn surgery at the Groningen Burn Center in the Netherlands, further honing his skills in the treatment of skin and tissue injuries.

Graduated with summa cum laude in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from the University Hospital of Brussels, and with magna cum laude Dr. Waked, who earned his medical degree from the University of Ghent, complemented his training with advanced fellowship programs in Marbella, Porto, Paris, and Munich.

Currently, he is a member of the staff of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University Hospital of Brussels, a consultant surgeon at the Delta Chirec Hospital in Brussels and at Cirumed Clinic in Marbella, and he also has a private practice in both cities.

In the scientific field, Dr. Waked has over 30 publications in high-impact journals and regularly participates as an invited speaker at national and international conferences. In 2018, he co-founded Augmented Anatomy, a pioneering MedTech company specializing in augmented reality solutions for surgical planning, and he was the founder and former president of the Belgian Residents of Plastic Surgery (BRPS).
