Fat donor sites for BBL. Where do we take the fat for Brazilian Butt Lift?
Ideally, we want to take it out of what we call the 360 zone, that means 360º working along the whole torso, the lower abdomen, the upper abdomen, the lower back and the upper back.

Ultrasound mapping for BBL fatgrafting is a huge asset for further improving patient safety.
In this picture you see our Dr. Gomez Bravo doing ultrasound mapping which means measuring the thickness of the subcutaneous tissue at various reference points.
We like to compare this with creating a “nautical chart” which is enormously useful to the surgeon who wants to assure complete subcutaneous fat infiltration.
In this case the patient had a BBL elsewhere and the problem was that the liposuction was not done low enough, there is still too much fat in the waist area and the grafting has been too high. In this case, the buttocks look a little bit square and very bulgy instead of having a nice curve down,
The beauty of this picture is possibly not obvious to the lay man’s eye … but here we share what we work very hard to achieve.

Our case of the month is one these, where a very saggy breast was corrected with internal suspension, lipofilling of the skin envelope and anatomical breast implants. The only scar needed was a donut scar around the areola.
This means that we used the fat routinely removed from the love handles during the Abdominoplasty procedure for “curving out”the central buttocks. It is a very effective adjunct to the Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) procedure and helps to make the waistline look slimmer
