What happens during the supercharged BBL procedure?
Your supercharged BBL procedure starts with a thorough consultation and evaluation. Your board-certified BBL surgeons will carefully examine your body, discuss your goals and concerns, review your medical history, and identify the potential donor sites on your body. The most common donor sites are the hips, thighs, tummy, and lower back. After a thorough evaluation, the BBL surgeon will select the ideal butt implants for you. General Anesthesia
When you reach the plastic surgery center, you must fill out some forms and sign a consent form. You will have to change into a hospital gown and confirm that you’ve been following the surgeon’s preparation guidelines. During your supercharged BBL procedure, you will have to lie down on your back or front, depending on the location of the donor sites. The anesthesiologist will administer general anesthesia to put you to sleep. Once the general anesthesia kicks in, you fall asleep and don’t wake up for several hours.
Liposuction
The medical provider will make a small incision on the targeted donor sites. After making an incision, the BBL surgeon will deliver tumescent anesthesia, a solution made of lidocaine and epinephrine. The tumescent anesthesia solution will ensure comfort and reduce post-treatment bruising. The BBL surgeon will insert a hollow needle known as a cannula, move it back and forth to break down the fat cells, and suction away the excess fat cells. The fat cells will be sent to an airtight container.
Fat Grafting
After liposuction, the BBL surgeon will purify the fat cells to remove the blood, dead cells, and other impurities. Once the fat cells are purified, they will be injected into targeted areas on the buttocks using the cannula. This step is the reverse of liposuction — the fat cells from the airtight containers will be delivered into the buttocks using the cannula. The surgeon will move the cannula back and forth to break through the connective tissues and deliver the fat cells.
Butt Implants
The supercharged BBL procedure also includes silicone butt implants. The BBL surgeon will select the appropriate size for cohesive silicone implants, following which they are placed underneath the gluteal muscles. The size, shape, and location of the butt implants will depend on your unique needs. After placing the butt implants, the surgeon will close the incisions and apply bandages. You will also have to wear compression garments to reduce swelling.
When will my supercharged BBL results be visible?
The supercharged BBL procedure offers instant and dramatic results. Your buttocks will look considerably fuller and tighter after the procedure. But your post-treatment side effects, such as redness, swelling, and bruising, will prevent you from truly appreciating the results. The side effects will gradually dissipate over several weeks and months, and you will be able to appreciate the final results after about six months.
How long will my supercharged Brazilian butt lift results last?
Supercharged BBL is a permanent procedure. The butt implants will permanently enhance the volume of your buttocks, and the transplanted fat cells will make your buttocks look naturally fuller. The effects of fat grafting may diminish slightly after a few weeks because your body will reabsorb some fat cells, but your board-certified BBL surgeons will account for that possible change in advance.
