There are different techniques for each treatment: eyebrows, eyes and lips. The client decides whether they want a more natural look or a more intense effect.
The eyebrows, for example, are often pigmented with the “hair by hair” technique, drawing fine lines that create a totally natural effect of real hair even when the person’s own eyebrows are very sparsely populated or when there is no own hair at all. The eyebrows can also be done with a base color, or other different techniques. Micropigmentation of eyebrows has a very beneficial effect also for people who have abundant hair on their eyebrows: the treatment creates an optical lifting effect, enhances the expression of the eyes and balances asymmetries.
The design of semi permanent make up for the eyes varies in length, color and thickness of the line. Micropigmentation creates the perfect eyeliner and avoids the need of daily touch ups, the micropigmented eyeliner stays perfect 24 hours a day. For an even more natural effect it is possible to apply pigment just on the roots of the eyelashes to create an effect of greater density.
Semi permanent make up of the lips defines their outline giving an appearance of greater volume. The pigment can also be applied on the entire lip, smoothing out their color and/or intensifying the color. The form of the lips is restructured and asymmetries are corrected.
Paramedical micropigmentation is used in hiding scars.
The most common application is to match the color of the scar in the areola after breast surgery or reconstructing the entire areola after mastectomy. Micropigmentation of areolas can have an important positive effect on a psychological level in cancer patients.
