This 57 year old year old patient had suffered previous trauma to her nose with a displaced fracture. This resulted in significant hyperprojection of the dorsum of the nose and deviation of the septum, causing significant breathing difficulties. Closed rhinoplasty(nose reshaping) of the nose was performed. We straightened the septum and removed the unsightly hump on the back of the nose. A small piece of the removed septum was carved and used as a small cartilage onlay graft to smoothen the contour of the dorsum and give both a smooth appearence as well as a smooth feeling. The patient is now not only very happy with the aspect of her nose,but she can also breathe without impairment.
