The 2 main questions that arise on gluteal shaping:

  • Implants?
  • Fat grafting?

This is something that often too many patients approaching us for the surgery doesn’t seem to be totally clear on, because when do we resort to silicone implants?

First of all, we actually never use silicone implants alone, wherever possible we combine silicone implants with fat grafting.

Silicone implants alone have some shortcomings. Silicone implants with fat grafting, something that we like to label as Supercharged solution, we use it if the buttock is very flat because implants can achieve a very nice projection or if patients have insufficient fat to get a good result with Brazilian Butt Lift only.

So there is no better and there is no worse, it again like always on surgery depends on each ones individuals anatomy.
