Naturally, the preoperative shape of a buttock has got significant impact on what result is achievable. If a patient has a perky round or pear-shaped buttock the situation is very favourable.
On the other end of the spectrum is the so called “V-shaped”buttock, which is usually flat and inverted. These can be very difficult cases to correct. In the case shown here, the patient preoperatively had a very flat buttock with an inverted shape, that means her love handles were wider than her hips. This is also known as “V-shape”. We performed Water Jestream assisted liposuction to remove fat from her upper and lower back and her abdomen (patient had a previous abdominoplasty). The fat was then used to reshape her buttocks and with view to her buttock shape the outcome is optimal.
