This patient had a very disfiguring case a fatty lymphedema. This cases can be very challenging to correct. On the legs it is extremely important to be careful with fat removal since overaggressive fat removal can leave the patient with saggy and irregular skin.
In our practice, the addition of a skin-retractor (laser liposuction) has proven helpful to prevent saggy skin and irregularities, nevertheless, caution is still necessary.
