In this case the patient requested a substantial breast augmentation matching both her shape and size. She had no extra subcutaneous fat deposits, so fat transfer breast augmentation was not an option. We recommended breast augmentation with cohesive silicone gel implants.
On the patient’s request we used an inframammary incision. In general, we offer all three accepted approaches for breast augmentation, inframammary, periareolar and armpit. There is no single right or wrong technique, it will always depend on the individual case.
The photo shows situation 3 months post op, when are the scars are nearly already invisible. In the subsequent months, further fading is to be anticipated. The implants was located behind the patients breast muscle, providing better soft tissue cover. Since the patient was thin and had a tiny frame, 245cc implants gave her a very substantiantive augmentation.
The volume always has to be seen in conjunction with the patient’s frame. Smaller patients will of course require smaller implants.
