This is a case of special interest to patients who desire very substantial size augmentations of their buttocks. This is not an infrequent request and for patients and we frequently have patients asking for transfer volumes exceeding 1500cc per buttock cheek. We also call this “ethnic” Brazilian butt lift, since these patients look for sometimes very drastic reshaping results.
Under these circumstances, it may be highly beneficial to split up the Brazilian butt lift surgery into two sessions.
The advantages regarding the outcome are significant. Much more fat can be transferred safely, the “take” rates of fat are much better as compared to trying.
In this case we, transferred 1000cc in the first session and 800cc in the second.
The patient has a much more impressive result than with on session alone, making the two surgeries worthwhile.
